an unforgettable day at Quinta da Ria ….
Last September 7th our President Henk Vooijs provided to club members and friends another memorable experience, combining the adrenaline of a golf competition with an elegant dinner of gastronomy and amusement.
The tournament was played in the afternoon at Quinta da Ria by 4-ball teams. The summer temperatures that were felt did not discourage the guests, as they were presented along the way with refreshing drinks, varied snacks and the much appreciated ice cream.
To make the bridge for dinner after the tournament, the President also offered a cocktail. To unwind after the competition, there’s nothing like tasting our delicious RIA GIN, Julia Reynolds wines, or the popular beer and different cocktails.
The President chose Argentina as the theme of the Gala Dinner, so the terrace of our Ria Terrace restaurant was “transported” to this South American country wearing blue and white, wrapping the guests in a party and celebration atmosphere.
Also in the kitchen, Chef Humberto Paulos studied Argentine gastronomy to provide the guests with a thematic menu, not forgetting the famous grilled meat from that country.
And because a party without music isn’t a party, it was up to The Washingtons Band to animate the evening and bring the guests to the dance floor with lively rhythms. And of course, because we were in Argentina there had to be a show of the Argentine tango, involving those present in the emotion conveyed by music and dance.
To make this night even more unforgettable, all eyes turned to the sky, following a fantastic firework display.
