The Quinta de Cima
Golf Course
Designed by the well-known American Architect – Rocky Roquemore, Quinta de Cima was conceived as the championship course of the golf resort.
The opening PAR 5 is a gentle start to the round, but the course will become tougher as the round progresses, with dog-legs to the right and left and undulating greens which are well protected by large sandy bunkers and lakes.
There are also several natural creeks running through the course that will also increase its difficulty.
Throughout the course you will find many ancient carob and olive trees, which adds a certain character to the layout.
The natural beauty and the challenging features of this golf course will make you return time and time again.

-
1st Hole
● Good opening hole.
● Drive short or aggressively between fairway bunkers. Second shot towards right-hand bunker, leaving a good access (short iron approach) to the green bunkered left front.
PRO TIP -
2nd Hole
● Self evident hole with bunkers short and behind green not a difficult shot to generous green.
PRO TIP -
3rd Hole
● This hole - dog leg left - needs a good drive at the marker post.
● For the longer hitters taking the tiger line over the left hand trees has its rewards, making the approach much shorter.
PRO TIP -
4th Hole
● An interesting hole as to be in the centre of the fairways and avoiding the left bunker is ideal.
● The difficulty of this hole is the second shot over a water hazard to a green, sloping from back to front with a large tree overhanging, short right of the green. Best to be big than short.
PRO TIP -
5th Hole
● Keeping the drive right of the fairway, avoiding the left hand bunkers and a right-hand tree, is a must as the second shot needs to be accurate to carry the bunkers in front of the green.
PRO TIP -
6th Hole
● Best position for drive is left of the centre, leaving two options: option 1 - for the long hitter to carry over the water hazard, crossing the fairway, or option 2 - lay up in front the hazard, leaving a long shot to the green.
PRO TIP -
7th Hole
● Straight hole slightly uphill, needing a good drive with a long second to the green, avoiding front right bunker.
PRO TIP -
8th Hole
● Long par 3 usually playing all its length with bunkers and trees, guarding either side of a long narrow green. Middle wood or long iron required.
PRO TIP -
9th Hole
● Good driving hole, but keep right of left-hand bunkers with out of bounds all down the left.
● Second shot fairly long played towards left centre of green with a bunker encroaching towards the front centre of the green and another at the back.
PRO TIP -
10th Hole
● Keep ball towards left of fairway, giving a good access to the green guarded by bunkers either side.
PRO TIP -
11th Hole
● Deceiving short hole with a dip in front of the green, giving you a false impression of its length by looking shorter than it really is and well guarded by bunkers.
● Accuracy is a must!
PRO TIP -
12th Hole
● A good drive is needed to avoid fairway bunkers either side of the fairway.
● The green is situated slightly left with trees in the line to the green, so the second shot should be played towards the far right bunkers, leaving a shot over frontal bunkers to a raised green with another bunker at rear.
PRO TIP -
13th Hole
● A good drive is needed here to get over a water hazard aprox. 180 yards from the tee.
● Once over and in the middle of the fairway, a demanding second shot is needed to carry the front bunkers.
PRO TIP -
14th Hole
● Probably the hardest hole (stroke index 1) with out of bounds either side and two large bunkers either side.
● Long second shot to a long green guarded by a bunker left.
PRO TIP -
15th Hole
● Out of bunker either side of the fairway large bunkers in centre of fairway but should be out of reach normally.
● Second shot aimed at the left centre of green avoiding large bunker right front of green. Beware of out of bounds behind green.
PRO TIP -
16th Hole
● Easy driving hole keeping between fairway bunkers.
● Second shot played over a water hazard, running across the fairway towards a large lake on the right all the way to the green. Once near the green on fairway a reasonably easy approach.
PRO TIP -
17th Hole
● A tantalising long par 3 with a large lake coming into play.
● One bunker at the right of the green after the lake. A really good shot is well rewarded.
PRO TIP -
18th Hole
● A difficult finishing hole with a demanding drive over a water hazard with a large lake on the right all the way to the green.
● Once over you are left with a choice of going for the green taking the lake on, or bail out situation left of the green but will leave you with a tricky chip to get near the hole.
